The Energy Cork Transport Sub Group are hosting an upcoming briefing that will focus on sustainable bus transport in Cork, and the opportunity for Cork to become a leader and hub for low emission public transport.
Ireland’s Greenest Bus Fleet – Cork’s Opportunity? will take place on Wednesday 9th November from 0830 – 1100 at the Clarion Hotel, Lapp’s Quay, Cork.
The Briefing will hear from industry experts, regulators and practitioners about the growth in public bus usage and availability in Cork, a proposal to encourage the deployment of low emission bus technology in Cork, and how employers are taking the lead in planning smart and efficient ways for their employees to get to and from their workplace.
Speakers will include representatives of: Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport (DTTAS), NTA’s Smarter Travel Workplaces and Energy Cork. This event is being supported by Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Cork Chamber, Bus Éireann and Gas Networks Ireland.
A light breakfast will be provided from 0830, with speakers from 0900 and moderated Q&A to close by 1100.
The event is open to both members and non-members of Energy Cork and is a free event. However, places are limited – so in order to ensure that you are not disappointed, please register your attendance to office@energycork.ie by 4th November.
